Firmware Upgrade Wizard (FUW)

Directions

  1. Download the upgrade file(.exe) to a temporary folder on the same drive as FactoryTalk View ME.
  2. Run the upgrade file(.exe) installation procedure. The new FUW will be installed in the FactoryTalk View ME directory.
    The Firmware Upgrade Package (.FUP) files will be installed into the directory specified during the installation procedure.
  3. Launch the FUW and follow-up the wizard directions. For additional help, download the FUW video

For PanelView Plus & PanelView Plus CE 700-1500 upgrades from ME3.0 to ME3.1, contact your local AB distributor.

A "System Check" will automatically launch during bootup on the PanelView Plus and PanelView Plus CE 700-1500 terminals (firmware 3.20.05 or later) and PanelView Plus Compact 1000 to help ensure the integrity of your data.Consult the release notes on this web page, or once the FUP has been installed, the releasenote named "Release Note XX.XX.XX.rtf" The release note may also be in a PDF format, and reside in the "RSView Enterprise" directory (..\Rockwell Software\RSView Enterprise) of the RSView install.

Note: The 4.00.00 Release is only compatible with FactoryTalk View Studio 4.0
         PanelView Plus CE (PVP CE) and VersaView CE (VV CE) firmware is compatible.
